The fixtures for the opening day of next week’s Cazoo World Grand Prix in Coventry are taking shape, with Cazoo UK Champion Zhao Xintong among the star players in action.
The tournament at the Coventry Building Society Arena gets underway on Monday (December 13th) evening at 7pm. Zhao is guaranteed to be top seed so he will face the player seeded 32nd.
Three-time Crucible king Mark Williams and world number five Kyren Wilson will also play their opening matches in the Monday evening session provided their opponents are not playing in the BetVictor Scottish Open final on Sunday.
Other top stars competing in the opening round will include Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump, John Higgins, Mark Selby and many more. The full match schedule will be confirmed on Sunday evening.
This week’s BetVictor Scottish Open is the final qualifying event, so players are still striving to earn a place in the top 32 of the one-year ranking list and book a place in Coventry.
Televised live by ITV4, it’s the first event of the 2021/22 Cazoo Series and features the best 32 players of the season so far.
Tickets are on sale now and start at just £15, fantastic value for the chance to see the world’s top stars. For details click here.
