The Gibraltar Open gets underway on Thursday, with many of the world’s best players scrapping it out for the £50,000 top prize at the Europa Point Sports Complex, although it could be worth a lot more than that.

There is plenty on the line this week, with a number of players battling to win the £150,000 BetVictor bonus, while a place in the Tour Championship is also up for grabs for others and plenty more are fighting to stay on tour.

With the semi-finalists getting just £6,000, it would take a run to the final for most of these things to be impacted, but in best-of-seven matches, a surprise finalist is not out of the question.

There have been a lot of withdrawals in the days before the event starting, with the likes of Mark Williams, Shaun Murphy, Anthony McGill and Stephen Maguire all pulling out.

How to watch the Gibraltar Open
