The BetVictor Welsh Open has been ever present on our calendar since 1992 – our longest running ranking event other than the World Championship and UK Championship.
This year’s event runs from February 15 to 21 at the Celtic Manor Resort, with Shaun Murphy defending the title in a strong field which includes the likes of Judd Trump, Ronnie O’Sullivan, John Higgins, Neil Robertson, Mark Selby home favourite Mark Williams and many more.

It’s the fifth of six events in the BetVictor European Series. Judd Trump currently tops that ranking list, but Mark Selby is hot on his heels. It’s also the last event before the cut off for the Cazoo Players Championship, with only the top 16 on the one-year list to earn a place in the field.
