Michael White made a century and three more breaks of 50 or over as he thrashed Michael Judge 4-0 to reach the final stages of the BetVictor English Open.
Winners in this week’s qualifiers in Leicester earn a spot in the televised phase, to run from December 12 to 18 in Brentwood.
Two-time ranking event White made the highest break of the opening day, 141, as well as runs of 77, 92 and 50 as he won in 58 minutes to book his place in the last 64.
Former World Champion Ken Doherty made sure he’ll be in Brentwood as he scored an impressive 4-1 win over Robbie Williams, highlighted by a break of 82 in frame four.
China’s promising Wu Yize top scored with 140 in a 4-1 defeat of Anton Kazakov, while Belgian rookie Julien Leclercq saw off Si Jiahui 4-0 with best breaks of 86, 75 and 51.
