Five-time world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan, current world number one Judd Trump and world number four Neil Robertson fall early at English Open.
We have already seen enough shocks at the last 32 stage of the 19.com English Open in Crawley so far.
Five-time world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan is out after a 4-3 defeat to China’s Mei Xiwen.
O’Sullivan kept criticizing the K2 leisure centre in Crawley throughout the week, calling it a “one-star venue”.
The 43-year-old described the venue as “a hellhole” last year and renewed his criticism this year by stating that “every day in Crawley is a day lost in my life”.
Ronnie was also under criticism from snooker fans when he kicked the rest away under the table during his match against Jamie O’Neill.
World number one Judd Trump suffered a shocking 4-2 defeat against the world number 80 Lee Walker despite making two centuries in the match.
“The way I played to win last night gave me a lot of confidence today. To beat the world number one and World Champion on a TV table is very pleasing. I really enjoyed it.” Walker said.
Neil Robertson is also out after being whitewashed 4-0 by Zhao Xintong in a superb display by the 22-year-old.
‘‘It was very tough, I think Zhou handled the conditions a bit better than I did.’’ said Robertson after the loss.
