Snooker fans all notice the same thing as Kyren Wilson lands 147 maximum break

Kyren Wilson today became the fourth snooker player to land a 147 break in the last month with some sublime play at the UK Championship.

The 28-year-old leads Ashley Hugill 4-2 in their match after his third career maximum.

And it certainly had fans talking on social media.

Wilson’s stunning maximum break was completed with a sublime shot on the pink which saw the white cannon up the table before falling into the perfect spot for him to calmly slot home the black.

And that is what snooker fans were commenting on as Wilson celebrated.

Kyren Wilson needed to play a perfect positional shot to secure a 147

“What a break! Pink to black was incredible,” one snooker fan tweeted.

“I don’t think I’ve seen a more spectacular shot in a successful maximum,” one added.

“Sensational positional shot on the pink for the 147!!” a third said.

To which one replied: “Yeah fantastic shot.”

Wilson’s shot almost went in the top left pocket before returning down the table

Another said: “Fantastic, what a shot on the pink.”

Wilson will be hoping he can go all the way in this year’s championship.

And he is certainly confident after his recent performances.

“It’s great that I’m even in those conversations and in people’s minds to be in the mix for these kinds of events,” Wilson told Betfair recently.

Kyren Wilson left himself a perfect shot on the black

“It shows that my game is heading in the right direction and the hard work I’ve put in over the years has got me to that end of the game.

“The UK Championship is a very special event and one of the events that you’re going to be remembered for (once you’ve finished playing the game).

“I never wanted to be a journeyman or a nearly man; I want to be pushing for those titles but obviously with that comes extra pressure.

“I like playing with pressure; it gives you a great adrenaline buzz and normally it works in my favour and helps me to concentrate.”
