Judd Trump has welcomed the news that fans are set to return to snooker at the Masters in London in January.
On Friday WST announced plans to safely welcome a crowd of up to 1,000 fans for each session of snooker’s biggest invitation event, which runs from January 10 to 17 at Alexandra Palace.
“The Masters is the perfect tournament for crowds to come back,” said Trump, who beat Ronnie O’Sullivan in the 2019 Ally Pally final. “Last year, even though I lost in the first round it was amazing, the whole event was a big step in the right direction. Hopefully we can do something special this time. I would love to get back to the final and win again.”
Fans who have already bought tickets will have already received an email and have until Thursday 3 December 2020 at midnight to decide whether to attend the event. Otherwise they can transfer their tickets to 2022 or claim a full refund. Following that, an announcement will be made on any tickets available for general sale.
Only the world’s top 16 players will earn a place in the tournament – for the updated Race to the Masters click here.
