Thepchaiya Un-Nooh edged out Jordan Brown 4-3 in an exciting contest to reach the final stages of the BetVictor Scottish Open in Edinburgh.
Former Shoot Out champion Un-Nooh trailed three times, but eventually came out on top as he earned a spot in the last 64. Thailand’s Un-Nooh made a break of 104 in the fourth frame for 2-2, then Brown took the fifth with a run of 64. Northern Ireland’s Brown had match-winning chances in frame six, but Un-Nooh took it on the final pink to set up the decider, before making an excellent 84.
Michael White top scored with 91 in a 4-2 win over Andy Hicks while Noppon Saengkham won a Thai derby against Mink Nutcharut 4-1, compiling runs of 80, 71 and 73.
Chang Bingyu made a 104 in a 4-1 defeat of Alexander Ursenbacher while Martin Gould pulled away from 2-2 to beat Adam Duffy 4-2.
