World Snooker Championship 2022 schedule confirmed with Ronnie O'Sullivan on opening day

The schedule for the World Snooker Championship is out and we know when the top 16 players will be playing their first round games at the Crucible.

Qualifying for the World Championship is ongoing with the draw to come after that, so who the top 16 will take on is yet to be decided, but we know when the game’s elite will be performing in Sheffield.

It is a blockbuster opening day, with defending champion Mark Selby and UK champion Zhao Xintong in action on the very first morning and Ronnie O’Sullivan following them in the afternoon.

Man of the moment Neil Robertson gets his campaign underway on Monday 18 April, while John Higgins has to wait till the first Tuesday and Judd Trump doesn’t play until Wednesday.
